Disciples Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
The Wine
Our 2023 Disciples Cabernet Sauvignon brings together three distinct vineyard sites and three varietals, creating a wine of depth, volume, and ageability. The backbone comes from the historic Lewelling Vineyard in St. Helena, located next to the original Crane Vineyard and farmed by the same family since 1864. Rich, textured Lewelling fruit is balanced by our estate 777 Vineyard in Calistoga, while Merlot and Petite Sirah from G.B. Crane Vineyard add mid-palate density and mouthwatering minerality.
A long, cool 2023 growing season provided ideal conditions, producing a wine built to evolve for years while showing beautifully today.

Winemaker Notes
Dark purple, nearly black in color, the wine opens with fresh wild blackberry layered with fennel, sage, pencil shavings, and hints of coffee and violet. The palate is rich and mouthcoating yet remarkably lively, with blackberry and ripe blueberry surrounding a juicy core of raspberry, framed by firm tannins and savory complexity. The finish is long, bright, and energetic, carrying exceptional purity of fruit with a fresh herbal lift.
